Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail

I’ve always felt like I was a mountain child. I spend my childhood in Montana and Alaska on many outdoor adventures with my dad and family. For me, youth and adventure has a very certain connection between green mountains and fresh white snow. BUT I soon learned I also loved to get lost in crowds of people and the feeling of being engulfed by towering buildings with only tiny glimpses of horizon.

And that’s where I was the last decade—Living the city life. Now I’m back in WA state and I knew it was time to reconnect with my youth.

No, I didn’t hike 2,500 miles. I only did a fraction of that: Washington section J. My dad and some of his friends had planned the hike and I was able to clear my schedule to join.

Meet the team, my dad (5th from left) and me (3rd from left… I suddenly feel very short lol) and 4 of my dad’s friends.
